Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking Fab Faces for your next event.

  • We have talented artists based in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Wellington and Christchurch, and we're happy to travel further where possible. Travel fees may apply depending on your location.

  • The earlier the better, especially during our busiest months from November to March. We'll always do our best to accommodate last-minute enquiries if we have availability.

  • Absolutely! If your preferred artist is available, we'll happily book them for your event. If they're unavailable, we'll recommend another talented member of our team.

  • For face painting, we simply ask for a small shaded area with good lighting, a table and a couple of chairs if available. We bring all paints, balloons and equipment required.

  • For outdoor events we'll need suitable shelter from rain, wind or strong sun. If your event is weather dependent, get in touch and we'll discuss the best option for your booking.

Face Painting

  • We only use premium, professional cosmetic face paints imported from the USA and Europe. They're skin-safe, vibrant, easy to remove and approved for cosmetic use.

  • As a guide, one artist can paint around 10–12 detailed designs per hour. Simpler designs can increase this number. We'll happily recommend the right booking length based on your event.

  • Yes. We use professional cosmetic products designed specifically for use on skin. We never use craft paints or non-cosmetic products.

Bookings & Payments

  • Private bookings require a deposit to confirm your date. Corporate bookings are invoiced in full unless otherwise arranged.

  • If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply depending on how close to the event the cancellation occurs. We'll always do our best to be fair and accommodate changes where we can.
