I rushed off to the airport on Saturday morning to collect my shipment from the States - it was fantastic to open the box, greeted by a collection of paints, glitter tattoos, balloons and all sorts of fun bits and pieces!  Will get some photos up soon of my new paint setup and update my Services page to reflect the fact that my balloons and glitter tats have arrived  :)  Keep your eyes peeled!

Hopefully not long until my big box from the US arrived - I've been trying to wait patiently but it's starting to send me crazy!  With any luck it should have cleared customs and be in my hot little hands in time for my next birthday party.

Over the weekend I was lucky enough to paint the kiddies at Animates Botany - I had such a great time stretching my creativity with new ideas (strangest request: a flying rainbow bunny face, anyone?) and getting to know the staff.


Such a fabulous bunch down there - be sure to call in and they'll be able to help you out!  Hopefully I'll be painting there again so keep an eye on my blog and I'll update you on when to pop in for face painting complimentary of Animates Botany.

Not surprisingly, the glitter tattoos have been purchased!!  They look like a fabulous alternative to face painting - excellent for summer pool parties and for teens that feel too 'old' for face painting (not that anyone's really too old!!!)

I'll fill you all in with pics and details once they arrive (they're coming from the US with my paint order) - very exciting.

Recently I've been looking into glitter tattoos - glitter is applied to the skin with adhesive and they stay on the skin for between 3 and 7 days (can be removed before that with rubbing alcohol though).

What do you all think?  Might you be interested in adding glitter tattoos to your face painting package?  Or even have a party solely for glitter tats?

Thanks so much to all of my lovely models for showing such patience with me  :)  Last night my brother and his fiancée popped round with the request to paint a turtle for Rochelle - I'd been thinking for a little while about what to do and had settled on one design but left it to Rochelle to decide if she wanted her eye to be incorporated into the turtles head or not - we both agreed it might look best placing his head on his cheek.

This was the result (she sat very patiently for the hour!!)...

Hi everyone and welcome to my first blog post!

Not too long ago I discovered just how much I enjoy face painting and I haven't been able to stop painting since!  It's not entirely surprising that I've ended up at this point, considering I've always enjoyed art and obviously like kids (I teach a class of 11 year olds).

I look forward to seeing you all out and about, hopefully as I'm turning you into an exotic animal or a mystical creature!
